Just wanna say a BIG THANK YOU to my lovely dancers for putting so much effort in making our graduating gifts! Ahhhhh, i swear i felt like crying when i saw what y'all did for us. :')
I'm like having withdrawal symptoms right now. I miss mjr dance club so much. I miss getting aches all over after every dance session. I miss teaching my juniors although they piss the shit outta me sometimes hahaha. I miss wearing that super tight corset for SYF'11. I miss 'attaching' that leaf to my back too. I miss rehearsing like twice/thrice a week for SYF'09 & everyone was always trying to perfect their 'banana' pose (ok this sounds funny haha). I miss that one time where we rehearsed till damn late & we almost got locked up in school. I miss how dinghong laoshi teaches us to visualize a certain step so we'll be able to do it better. I miss the time we cried tears of joy after knowing that we got Gold With Honours for our 2009 SYF. I miss how we made history in the school. The school's first ever Gold With Honours. :') I miss sleeping in the dance room during dance camp & waking up at 4am the next day to prep for our performance at sbf. I miss the extremely tight corset. I miss dancing in my stinky dance shoes.
Oh yes, & i need to mention this. I remembered in 2009 when i was s2, the seniors choreographed a hiphop dance for national day & all of us were required to be part of it. It being my first non-ballet/chinese dance, i was extremely shy when they first taught me the steps & i dare not engage in the steps(?) & i almost wanted to backout. But, i just wanna thank my seniors who encouraged me to overcome my fear & give it a shot & also those who taught me the steps patiently cuz i took me quite awhile to get it right. & for the next few hiphop dances that the seniors/juniors choreographed, i wasn't afraid anymore & i really enjoyed myself alot.
Dance has helped me to speak up more & ok i gotta admit, although i'm still kinda quiet sometimes, but at least i'm not as quiet as before. I learned to voice out my opinions when necessary, & also to lead/guide the juniors properly. Thank you ms ng/mdm toh/seniors for giving me leadership roles previously such as sectional leader/treasurer, it was a great experience. & also thank you dinghong laoshi for allowing me to participate in most of the dances. :'D
Really hope we can find one day where all dancers can meet up & re-dance all our previous dances together hahahaha that'll be damn fun! & if there really is such an outing in the future, i'll turn up for sure! :D :D :D
Oh & one last thing, i wish all of you all the best in the future performances/SYFs! Maintain the gold please hahahaha. &&&& most importantly, don't give your newly appointed chairperson/vice-chairpersons/sectional leaders any trouble. I can see that they're doing their very best to manage dance club well so.....ya, just show them some respect & be good okay. ^o^
